| Trash! The Earth Day Musical book and lyrics by Cynthia and Michael Marion (All youth version adapted by Dr. Katherine Perrault Sogolow) music by Michael Marion While disposing of his trash at a local dump, Gary is confronted by the voice of Mother Earth calling for help to "save her" before it is too late. Responding to her cry, children rally together and relay to Gary their environmental concerns regarding water, land and air. The children teach Gary that the solutions are found in learning how to reduce, recycle and reuse. After deciding that he "can" take responsibility for the environment, Gary and the others are interrupted when the junkyard becomes personified as a Trash Monster who declares that people will never change and it's already too late. Mother Earth reappears and proclaims that it's not too late; people can change and the planet can be saved for future generations. Gary must make a decision. Will he do it for the children?
